39 year old Charles Alpers, of Cleveland, is helped to his feet by EMS personnel. Alpers crashed his Suzuki motorcycle on 190 West (just east of the Corner Shell) early Sunday afternoon.
Motorcycle Crash Hospitalizes Driver, EAST TEMPE, June 11, 2023 - At approximately 1:20 pm on June 11, 2023, a purple Suzuki Motorcycle, driven by Charles Alpers, 39, of Cleveland, was west-bound on US-190 West.  According to Alpers, his front brake locked up.  Alpers' motorcycle turned over on its left side ejecting Alpers and his passenger, Courtney Barrett.  Alpers was not wearing a helmet and sustained a head wound.  An ambulance from Acute Medical Services was dispatched to the scene along with, the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, Polk County Chief Deputy, Ricky Childers, Sergeant Adam Norris, and Trooper Cotye Lowrie with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Alpers was helped to his feet by EMS personnel and held up as he walked to the Ambulance.  Courtney Barrett was physically okay.  Alpers was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital.  A friend drove Alpers' motorcycle to the nearby Corner Shell Station.  Alpers was cited for no driver's license.  Alpers' motorcycle was recovered by a friend.

Alpers' Suzuki Motorcycle was driven to nearby Corner Shell gas station and parked.
