E Capps Road about 3 miles off US-146

Driver Rolls Pickup, 2 Hospitalized, 1 Arrested, LIVINGSTON, June 11, 2020 - At approximately 1:30 am on June 11, 2020, a maroon 2002 GMC pickup, driven by Elijah Dabney, 23, of Livingston, was east-bound on E. Capps Road (about 3 miles off US-146). Dabney entered a curve too fast, lost control and rolled. His pickup struck a tree and came to rest upright on the right side of the unpaved road. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy Roper Ellison with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Trooper Colton McQuilkin with the Texas Highway Patrol. Dabney's two passengers (David Myers, 18 of Huntsville and Breanna Myers, 20 of Livingston) were both transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Dabney refused treatment. As it turns out, Dabney had a warrant out for his arrest for a parole violation. Dabney was cuffed and placed under arrest and transported to Polk County Jail. Dabney was also cited for unsafe speed. His vehicle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston.
