21 year old Jeric Dejuan Smith, of Goodrich, drove his 2002 Buick Century into a gully at US-59 and North Loop 116.
Driver Misses Turn, Drives Into Gully, NEW WILLARD, June 12, 2016 - At approximately 10:25 pm on June 11, 2016, a tan 2002 Buick Century, driven by Jeric Dejuan Smith, 21, of Goodrich, was south-bound on US-59.  Smith attempted a right turn onto the north end of Loop 116 and failed to complete the turn, instead, Smith's vehicle left the pavement to the left and ended up on the wrong side of a guardrail.  His vehicle rolled down into a gully.  Smith was unhurt and climbed from the wreckage.  Trooper David Morris with the Texas Highway Patrol was dispatched to investigate.  Morris cited smith for no driver's license and unsafe speed.  A rollback wrecker from Clifton Towing recovered Smith's vehicle and it will be stored in Corrigan.
