Donald Jackson's 1995 GMC truck sits approximately 100 feet into the woodline off FM-3277 at FM-3126.
Driver Crashes Truck Into Woods, Alcohol Suspected, SCENIC LOOP, June 12, 2011 - Shortly after 9pm on June 11, 2011, a red 1995 GMC pickup driven by Donald E. Jackson, Jr., 37, of Livingston, was north-bound on FM-3277.  When Jackson came to the intersection of FM-3126, he failed to slow down and went right on across 3126 and into the woods at Lake Livingston Village.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department, Deputy Dustin Lowery of the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Constable Richard Lively, and Trooper Joe Cole with the Texas Highway Patrol.

Due to the thick underbrush, firemen used a chainsaw to get to Jackson.  Jackson was removed from his vehicle and treated by EMS Personnel and transported by ambulance to
Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries.  According to Trooper Cole, Jackson was suspected of being intoxicated and will be charged with driving while intoxicated.  A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Jackson's vehicle and it will be stored a Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.  The scene was cleared by 10:30 pm.

Special thank you:  Ken from Ken's Towing
