27 year old Lena Green's 1998 Ford Explorer rolled on Capps Road just off US-146 and came to rest upright.
Driver Rolls Vehicle, Arrested for DWI, LIVINGSTON, June 9, 2012 - At approximately 1:25 pm on June 9, 2012, a red 1998 Ford Explorer driven by Lena Green, 27, of Livingston, was north-bound on US-146. Green attempted a right turn onto E. Capps road but went into the turn too fast. Green's vehicle left the road to the left and rolled coming to rest upright. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy David Ramsey with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Troopers Chris Cain and Sergeant Nita Bowen with the Texas Highway Patrol. According to Green, another vehicle forced her to leave the road causing the accident. Trooper Cain immediately began investigating the scene. As it turns out, there was no other vehicle. According to witnesses who saw the wreck happen, there was no other vehicle involved, and evidence from Trooper Cain's investigation pointed to a single vehicle accident. Trooper Cain conducted a field sobriety test and placed Green under arrest for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Green told Trooper Cain that she only had a beer earlier, but she blew more than twice the legal limit when given a breathalyzer test. Additionally, alcoholic beverage was pulled from Green's wrecked vehicle including jello shots and a bottle of liquor. Green's vehicle was recovered by Wes Harwood and will be stored at 101 Harwood Drive in Livingston. The scene was cleared before 3 pm.
Trooper Chris Cain arrived on the scene and immediately began investigating.
Cain conducted a field sobriety test...
...and placed Green under arrest for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
A cold bottle of liquor pulled from the wreckage.
Jello shots were found all around the scene of the rollover.
Lena Green's vehicle was recovered by Wes Harwood.
