Driver Slams Into Tree, Flown to Houston, SPRING CREEK, June 7, 2020 - At approximately 10:15 am on June 7, 2020, a tan 2004 Honda Civic, driven by Judy Wilkerson, 61, of Onalaska, was west-bound on US-190 West (about a half mile west of the 190/3126 caution light). According to witnesses, Wilkerson's vehicle left the pavement to the right, proceeded down an embankment and slammed into a large pine tree. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Onalaska Volunteer Fire Department, and Trooper Allen Stanton with the Texas Highway Patrol. Wilkerson was trapped in her car (jammed doors). Firemen used the Jaws-of-Life to cut Wilkerson's car door off as EMS personnel carefully removed her from her vehicle. Wilkerson was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital where a medical helicopter landed and flew her to Hermann Hospital in Houston. Traffic on 190 was not blocked during investigation and cleanup. Wilkerson's vehicle was recovered by George White & Sons Wrecker Service and will be stored in Onalaska. This accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.

Wilkerson's 2004 Hond Civic was totaled. Wilkerson was west-bound on US-190 West when she left the pavement to the right, proceeded down an embankment and slammed into a large tree.
