Trucks Collide on FM-2665, GOODRICH, June 4, 2013 - At approximately 5 pm on June 4, 2013, a brown Chevy Trailblazer driven by Carol Kimball Pixley, 66, of Goodrich, was east-bound on FM-2665.  Pixley stopped to check her mail box and as she pulled away from her mailbox to her driveway, she was slammed by an east-bound older model Chevy pickup driven by Wesley Joe Deel, 34, of Goodrich.  Deel came around the curve and failed to control his speed.  As Pixley was turning into her driveway, Deel slammed into her front driver side fender.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy Terry Valka with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Trooper Darwon Evans with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Fortunately nobody was injured.  Trooper Evans cited Deel for failure to control speed.  Traffic was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup.  A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered both vehicles and they will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
