42 year old David Wilkinson, of Shreveport, Louisiana, rolled this 2016 Toyota Corolla about 2 miles south of the Livingston City Limits on the north-bound side of US-59.
Traveling Louisiana Family Takes Tumble, LIVINGSTON, June 3, 2016 - Shortly before 7 am on June 3, 2016, a silver 2016 Toyota Corolla (Hertz rent car), Driven by David Wilkinson, 42, of Shreveport, Louisiana, was north-bound on US-59 (about 2 miles south of Livingston).  According to Wilkinson, he fell asleep, left the pavement to the right, struck a culvert and went airborne.  His vehicle rolled along the woodline and eventually came to rest upright facing the woods.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputies Jacob Hopper and Terri Mayer with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Troopers Donny Akers and Kyle Daniel with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Wilkinson along with his wife and 2 children were transported to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  One lane of traffic on the north-bound side of 59 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. No citations were issued.  A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Wilkinson's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
