30 year old Keante Patrice Walker, of Livingston, was driving this 2006 Jeep Cherokee west on US-190 East when she slammed into the back of another vehicle.
Fatal Accident on 190 East, SODA, June 1, 2022 - At approximately 3:20 pm on June 1, 2022, a blue 2017 Chevy Silverado pickup, driven by Robin Riley Crawford, 56, of Livingston, was west-bound on US-190 East. Crawford was stopped and waiting to make a left turn onto Tom Cummings Road. Behind Crawford was a black 2017 Nissan Rogue, driven by Jacky Ray Keith, 85, of Dayton. Keith was suddenly slammed from behind by a dark gray 2006 Jeep Cherokee driven by Keante Patrice Walker, 30, of Livingston. Walker was apparently distracted when she slammed into the back of Keith's vehicle. The impact knocked Keith's vehicle into the back of Crawford's pickup. Walker's vehicle bounced to the right and left the pavement to the right and came to rest in the weeds. Crawford pulled onto Tom Cummings Road, and Keith's vehicle remained on the pavement. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Unit, Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Troopers Chris Cain, David Morris, Donny Akers, and Sergeant Sam Lattner with the Texas Highway Patrol. All three drivers were transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Jacky Keith passed away shortly after arriving. All traffic on 190 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. All three vehicles were recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. Ken's Towing was assisted by Dan's Towing. Charges for Walker are likely pending. This accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.
56 year old Robin Riley Crawford, of Livingston, was driving this 2017 Chevy Silverado west on 190. Riley stopped to make a left turn onto Tom Cummings Road.
85 year old Jacky Ray Keith, of Dayton, was driving this 2017 Nissan Rogue when he was slammed from behind by Walker. The impact knocked his vehicle into Crawford's pickup. Keith was rushed by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital where he passed away a short time later.
Walker appeared to have suffered a broken ankle from the accident.
All 3 vehicles were recovered by Ken's Towing (assisted by Dan's Towing).
