Baresha Rooks' 2000 Chevy Blazer rolled multiple times coming to rest in some tree branches that were on the side of FM-3126.
Fatal Accident on FM-3126, LIVINGSTON, May 27, 2011 - Shortly before 4 am on May 27, 2011, a white 2000 Chevy Blazer driven by Baresha Lynette Rooks, 40, of Livingston, was east-bound on FM-3126 near Nickerson Road.  Rooks' vehicle left the road to the right.  Rooks overcorrected to the left as her vehicle went back onto the road, then left the road to her left, and rolled mutiple times coming to rest upside down.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office and DPS Troopers Ramey Bass, Donny Akers, and Sergeant Nita Bowen.  Rooks was found lifeless in her vehicle when personnel arrived.  Rooks was not wearing a seatbelt.  Traffic was not blocked during investigation and cleanup.  Justice of the Peace Larry Whitworth performed an inquest at the scene.  Rooks' body was recovered by a first-call car from Pace Funeral Home.   A rollback wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service recovered Rooks' vehicle.  The scene was cleared shortly after 7 am.
