Tire marks in the grass lead to a large divet where the front end of the truck caught the ground (causing the truck to flip over it's front end).
Driver Flips Pickup, Flees Scene, GOODRICH, May 25, 2014 - At approximately 7:30 pm on May 25, 2014, a white 2001 Dodge pickup was east-bound on FM-2969 near Ellis Grimes Road.  The pickup left the pavement to the left and rolled down and embankment into a drainage area.  The trucks' front end caught the ground and caused the truck to roll over at it's front end.  The truck came to rest upside down in the weeds.  According to witnesses, there was the driver and a passenger in the pickup.  A vehicle allegedly drove up, helped the occupants from their vehicle and then fled the scene.  Troopers Kevin Burman and Darwon Evans with the Texas Highway Patrol were dispatched to investigate.  The truck is registered to Danny Carter, 57, of Goodrich.  Troopers checked local hospitals and the vehicle occupants were not to found.  The accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.  A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered the vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
