Dustin Harvey's 1995 Pontiac Firebird hangs over a wall at the edge of Shrimpboat Manny's parking lot in Livingston.
Driver Wrecks Car, Arrested for Tampering With Evidence, Fake Weed, LIVINGSTON, May 25, 2011 - Shortly before 2 am on May 25, 2011, a green 1995 Pontiac Firebird driven by Dustin Byrne Harvey, 24, of Livingston, was west bound on 190 West and attempted a right turn into the parking lot of Shrimpboat Manny's restaurant. Harvey missed the driveway by about 10 feet and went over the edge of a retaining wall in the parking lot of Manny's. Harvey's vehicle was stuck as the front end of his car was hanging over the edge of the wall. Livingston Police Officers Jason Thomas, Adam Williford, and Sergeant Scott Paske were dispatched to the scene. As Officer Jason Thomas was questioning Harvey and his passenger, Harvey stated that he needed to return to his car to retrieve his wallet. When he got to his car, Officer Williford observed Harvey hastily grab a white pill and swallow the pill. Additionally, a joint of fake weed was found in Harvey's possession. Harvey stated to Police that the reason his car was in that predicament was because a drunk driver ran him off the road. Harvey was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence (for swallowing the pill, a felony), possession of fake weed, and no driver's license. A rollback wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service recovered Harvey's vehicle and it will be stored at 101 Harwood Drive in Livingston. The scene was cleared shortly after 3 am.
