Livingston: US-59 Loop and 190 (between McDonald's and Burger King)
Dump Truck Turns Over, LIVINGSTON, May 23, 2019 - At approximately 1:45 pm on May 23, 2019, a dump truck, driven by Chadrick O'neal Pope, 46, of Alto, was south-bound on US-59.  Highway construction was just ahead and traffic was crawling.  Pope was coming too fast and rather than rear-end another vehicle, Pope cut left and entered the center median.  Pope's dump truck caught the ground and turned over.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department and Officer Adam Williford with the Livingston Police Department (Williford was assisted by Troopers John Allen and Corporal Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol).  Pope was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  Pope may be facing a citation for unsafe speed.  His dump truck was recovered by heavy duty wrecker out of San Jacinto County.

46 year old Chadrick O'neal Pope, of Alto, was driving this dump truck.
O'neal is escorted to an ambulance by Investigating Officer, Adam Williford.
O'neal was south-bound on the 59 Loop while traffic was at a crawl due to road construction. O'neal was coming too fast, so rather than strike another vehicle from behind, O'neal cut left and entered the center median where his truck turned over.
