Names Released in Fatal Accident, LIVINGSTON, May 20, 2023 - The names of the accident victims in this morning's fatal accident have been released. Shortly after 9 am on May 20, 2023, a silver 2007 GMC Sierra, driven by Durwood Fails, 76, of Warren, was west-bound on US-190 West. As Fails was about to pass through the intersection of 190 and FM-350 South, a gray 2006 Lincoln Town Car, driven by Clark Lott, 90, of Livingston, pulled off of 350 into the west-bound lanes directly in front of Fails. Fails' pickup T-boned Lott's vehicle on the passenger side. Lott's wife, Nora, 92, was killed on impact. Both vehicles came to rest to the right of the pavement in a parking area. Durwood Fails and his wife were both transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Clark Lott was Flown to Houston. Nora Lott was transported from the scene by a first-call car from Cochran Funeral Home.

2 Vehicle Accident, 1 Deceased, LIVINGSTON, May 20, 2023 - At approximately 9:15 am on May 20, 2023, a silver 2007 GMC Sierra pickup was west-bound on US-190 West. As the pickup was about to pass through the intersection of 190 and FM-350 South, a gray 2006 Lincoln Town Car pulled off of 350 south into the west-bound lanes of 190 directly in front of the pickup. The pickup T-boned the car knocking both off the road to the right side into a parking area. Allegiance Ambulance Service and Care Plus Ambulance Services were dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Unit and Officers Chad Lilley, Jack Mueller, and Donald Dyson with the Livingston Police Department. A passenger in the car was killed on impact (names from the accident not yet released). Justice of the Peace, Terri Mayer filed an inquest on the scene. A first call car from Cochran Funeral Home transported the deceased victim from the scene. Traffic was not blocked during investigation and cleanup. Both vehicles were recovered by Dan's Towing out of Livingston. This accident remains under investigation by the Livingston Police Department. The pickup (left) was west-bound on US-190 West when the car pulled off of FM-350 South directly in front of the pickup causing a broad side accident.
Justice of the Peace, Terri Mayer, filed an inquest at the scene.
The deceased victim was transported from the scene by Cochran Funeral Home.
Both vehicles were recovered by Dan's Towing out of Livingston.
