28 year old Devin Reece of Livingston was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital.
Small Car Slams Dually Truck, Truck Driver Hospitalized, SEGNO, May 16, 2012 - At approximately 5:45 pm on May 16, 2012, Devin Donnell Reece, 28, of Livingston, was west-bound on FM-943 in his brown 2004 Dodge dually, a short distance from FM-1276. As Reece entered a curve, the driver's side rear fender of his truck was slammed by a blue 2012 Chevy Cruz driven by Jason Wayne Adams, 39, of Livingston. Adams entered the curve in the opposite direction of travel (east-bound) in the oncoming lane and failed to negotiate the curve properly causing him to slam into Reece's vehicle. The impact knocked one of Reece's double rear tires off his truck as his truck spun out into the grass on the right side of the road. Adams' vehicle spun around and came to rest in the west-bound lane facing west. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputies Mike Nettles and Glen Edwards of the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Troopers Chad Seamans and Darwon Evans. Devin Reece was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Jason Adams was physically okay. Traffic on FM-943 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. According to Trooper Seamans, Jason Adams was issued a citation for driving on the wrong side of the road. A rollback wrecker from LakeView Wrecker Service recovered Reece's vehicle and it will be stored in Livingston. Jason Adams' vehicle was recovered by a rollback from Harwood Wrecker Service and will be stored at 101 Harwood Drive in Livingston. The scene was cleared by 7:30 pm.
Reece's 2004 Dodge Dually was slammed in the rear fender by an oncoming vehicle.
