PHI Air Medical lifts off for Hermann Hospital in Houston.

13 Year Old Girl Flown From Major Accident, Alcohol Suspected, GOODRICH, May 8, 2010 - At approximately 7:35 pm on May 8, 2010, a blue 1995 Chevy Suburban driven by Jennifer Clouse, 46, of Livingston, was east-bound on FM-1988 West.  Clouse attempted to make a left turn into a private driveway near the entrance of the Shiloh Ridge subdivision, but failed to yield right-of-way to a west-bound white 2006 Ford F-350 driven by Justin Finney, 30, of Coldspring.  Finney's truck broadsided Clouse's vehicle on the passenger's side knocking the Suburban off the road to the right.  Americare Ambulance Service and Lone Star EMS Service were dispatched to the scene along with the Goodrich Volunteer Fire Department, Deputy Billy Duke, and DPS Troopers Kevin Burman and David Morris.  Jennifer Clouse and her 13 year old daughter were removed from their vehicle and treated at the scene by EMS Personnel.  Clouse was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries while her 13 year old daughter was transported by ambulance to Goodrich Post Office where a PHI helicopter landed and transported her to Hermann Hospital in Houston with serious injuries.  Justin Finney was physically okay but his 2 passengers were transported to Livingston Memorial by private vehicle with non-life-threatening injuries.  Traffic was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup.  Both parties had insurance.  Clouse received a citation for failure to yield right-of-way on a left turn and could face charges of DWI pending a toxicology report.  A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Clouse's vehicle and it will be stored a Harrison Body Shop in Livingston, while Finney's vehicle was recovered by Britrim wrecker service out of Coldspring where it will be stored.  The scene was cleared by 9:02 pm.

Special thank you:  Assignment Editor, Stash Anderson
