2 Vehicle Accident, 2 People Flown From Scene, GOODRICH, May 7, 2017 - Shortly before 10 pm on May 6, 2017, the driver of a black 2007 Chevy Silverado (driven by a 16 year old female from Livingston) pulled from Night Street into the north-bound lanes of US-59 and failed to yield to a gray 2012 Ford Escape driven by Frances Allene Letsinger, 43, of Livingston. Letsinger's vehicle slammed into the driver's side of the pickup. Both vehicles went left into the center median of 59 where they came to rest. Americare and Allegiance Ambulance Services were dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office including Teddy Sims, Corporal Javier Segura, and Sergeant Craig Taylor, and Troopers Zach Lenderman and Kevin Burman with the Texas Highway Patrol. Letsinger appeared to be physically okay, however, a passenger in her back seat, Matthew Henry, 25, of Livingston, didn't have his seatbelt fastened. The impact caused Henry to surge forward and slam face first into the dashboard. Henry was loaded into an ambulance and driven to a the parking lot of nearby Chesswood Baptist Church where a PHi Air Medical Helicopter landed and flew him to Conroe Regional Hospital with serious head injuries. The 16 year old female was also transported by ambulance to Chesswood Baptist parking lot where a Life Flight helicopter landed and transported her to Hermann Hospital in Houston. Letsinger's other passenger, Ricky Letsinger was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Traffic on both sides of 59 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. The 16 year old was cited for failure to yield right-of-way and no seatbelt (her passengers were also cited for no seatbelt). Matthew Henry was cited for no seatbelt. Both vehicles were recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.

A 16 year old Livingston female was driving this 2007 Chevy Silverado and failed to yield to oncoming north-bound traffic on 59 when she pulled out from Night Street in Goodrich.
43 year old Frances Allene Letsing, of Livingston, was driving this 2012 Ford Escape.
Deputy Teddy Sims was the first emergency person on the scene. Sims assists with 25 year old Matthew Henry of Livingston. Henry was a passenger in Letsinger's vehicle and wasn't wearing a seatbelt causing him to surge forward and ipact the vehicle dashboard with this head.

A landing zone was set up in the parking lot of Chesswood Baptist Church. Henry was loaded onto this PHi Air Medical helicopter and flown to Conroe Regional Hospital with major head injuries.
The 16 year old youth was flown by Life Flight to Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Both vehicles were recovered by Ken's Towing.
