Sheri Atchley's 2004 Hyundai Accent was slammed when she failed to yield right-of-way to an oncoming pickup.
1 Hospitalized in Youngsters' Accident, LIVINGSTON, May 6, 2011 - At approximately 3:45 pm on May 6, 2011, a red 2004 Hyundai Accent driven by Sheri Atchley, 18, of Livingston, was west-bound on East Church when she attempted a left turn onto East Avenue. Atchley failed to yield to a tan 2005 oncoming Chevy Z-71 pickup driven by Kahl Lowe, 20, of Livingston. Lowe's truck slammed the back passenger's side Atchley's vehicle causing it to spin around coming to rest on the sidewalk at the corner of the United Pentecostal Church. Lowe pulled his vehicle over to the right side of the road. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Officers Ashley Early and Adam Williford (both with Livingston Police Department). Atchley's passenger, Samantha Michelle, 19, of Livingston sustained undisclosed injuries and was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital. One lane of traffic was blocked on the east-bound side of East Church as the accident was being investigated and cleared. According to Officer Early, Sheri Atchley received citations for failure to yield right-of-way from a left turn and failure to prove financial responsibility (insurance). A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Atchley's vehicle and it will be store at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. The scene was cleared by 4:45 pm.

Atchley's passenger, 19 year old Samantha Michelle, was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital.
Sheri Atchley cried at the sight of her friend being worked on by EMS Personnel.
Officer Adam Williford assisted in the investigation.
Atchley's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing. Lowe's vehicle was driveable and was driven from the scene.
