Alcohol Suspected in Dirt bike Accident at Scenic Loop, Life Flight Summoned, LIVINGSTON, May 3, 2009 - At approximately 6:15 pm on May 3, 2009 a blue Yamaha TTR-125 dirt bike driven by Estis Doyle Williams, 28, of Livingston was north-bound on Pritchard road in the Putnam's Landing Subdivision. Williams lost control of his bike and crashed on the road sustaining serious head injuries. DPS Trooper Darwon Evans was dispatched to the scene along with the Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department and Americare Ambulance Service. Traffic on Pritchard road was blocked as the accident was being investigated and cleared. Williams was treated at the scene by EMS Personnel from Americare and transported to Livingston Airport on FM-350 where a PHI Helicopter landed and transported Williams to Hermann Hospital in Houston. Williams faces possible citations for unauthorized use of a dirt bike on a county road and possibly a citation for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The scene was cleared before 7:30 pm.
