Accident Hospitalizes 2, LIVINGSTON, April 29, 2021 - At approximately 10:13 pm on April 29, 2021, a white 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser, driven by, Samak Run, 47, of Onalaska, was west-bound on US-190 West when a black 2012 Ford Pickup, driven by Lorie Stone Owen, 63, of Livingston, attempted to pull from the east-bound side of 190, to the west-bound side (just west of Pubelo Viejo Restaurant). Owen failed to yield to Run. The vehicles collided causing Owen's vehicle to spin around facing her opposite direction of travel as she came to rest in the cross over. Run pulled to the right shoulder. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy Rey Davalos with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Corporal Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol. Both Run and Owen were transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Traffic on the west-bound side of 190 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. Owen was cited for failure to yield. Owen's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. Run's vehicle was recovered by Dan's Towing and will be stored in Livingston.
63 year old Lorie Stone Owen, of Livingston, was driving this 2012 Ford pickup when she failed to yield to oncoming west-bound traffic on 190 West.
47 year old Samak Run, of Onalaska, was driving this 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser west-bound on 190 West when Owen pulled directly in front of him (just west of Pueblo Viejo Restaurant).
Both drivers were transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries (Lorie Stone Owen pictured receiving treatment from EMS personnel).
Owen's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing.
