Yes, that's a pickup, sitting on top of a trailer.
Weird Wreck Hospitalizes 1, SWARTWOUT, April 30, 2019 - At approximately 8:35 pm on April 29, 2019, a black 2003 Dodge pickup, utility truck was east-bound on FM-3278, when the driver, Ira Hurley, 48, of Onalaska, blew through the stop sign at FM-1988. Hurley's pickup (pulling a trailer with a commercial grade riding lawn mower) shot across 1988 and went into a ditch. The impact of the pickup's front end on the other side of the ditch caused the truck's rear end to lift, and then, the trailer that it was pulling became disconnected and wedged itself under Hurley's pickup. According to Hurley, he was tired and fatigued and fell asleep at the wheel. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy Kade Burman with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Corporal Ramey Bass and Trooper Kevin Burman with the Texas Highway Patrol. Hurley's female passenger sustained undisclosed injuries and was in obvious pain. She was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital. No citations were issued. Hurley's vehicle and trailer were recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston.
The front end of the pickup impacted the far side of the ditch. This caused the rear end of the pickup to lift up. The trailer that was being pulled disconnected and shot under the pickup just as the truck's rear end lifted.
Corporal Ramey Bass (left) was assisted by Trooper Kevin Burman (right).
