25 year old Dylan Gens, of Livingston, was driving this 1995 Chevy Silverado and slammed into the rearend of another pickup just east of Sam Houston Electric Cooperative.
Pickup Slams Vehicle From Behind, 3 Hospitalized, LIVINGSTON, April 28, 2018 - At approximately 9:16 am on April 28, 2018, a white 2013 Ford F-450, driven by Damian Gravatt, 24, of South Dakota, was west-bound on US-190 East just east of Sam Houston Electric Cooperative. As Gravatt was approaching the Livingston City Limits, he reduced his speed and was slammed from behind by a green 1995 Chevy Silverado driven by Dylan Gens, 25, of Livingston. Gens was directly behind Gravatt's vehicle and was possibly distracted. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, Sergeant Jason Paske with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Trooper Ashlee White with the Texas Highway Patrol. Both men were transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries (Gravatt's passenger, 20 year old Dion Darrell, of Livingston, was also transported) . Traffic on 190 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. Dylan Gens was cited for failure to control speed. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Gravatt's vehicle and it will be stored at Pollock's Body Shop in Livingston. Gens' vehicle was recovered by LakeView Towing and will be stored in Livingston.
