25 year old Billy Mcnatt of Livingston was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
Truck Slams Trailer from Behind on US-146, LIVINGSTON, April 28, 2012 - Shortly after 6 pm on April 28, 2012, Jeremy Wood, 25, of Livingston, was south-bound on US-146 in his Maroon Dodge truck. Wood was pulling a trailer and was waiting for the north-bound lanes to clear so he could make a left turn onto his property. Wood's trailer was suddenly slammed from behind by a white 2006 Dodge truck driven by Billy Joe Mcnatt, 25, of Livingston. Mcnatt was south-bound and apparently wasn't paying attention when he noticed the trailer in front of him. Mcnatt attempted to miss the trailer and cut right but his front driver's side fender caught the trailer and ripped the front tire off and caused major front end damage to the truck. Mcnatt's truck skidded to the right side of 146 where it came to rest. Jeremy Wood's trailer came disconnected from the collision and he pulled his truck onto his property. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the Scene along with Officer Kaleb Barker with the Livingston Police Department and Trooper Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol. Wood was uninjured, but Mcnatt was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Traffic was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. According to Trooper Bass, Mcnatt was cited for failure to control speed. Mcnatt's truck was recovered by Harwood Wrecker Service and will be stored at Bounds Autoplex in Livingston.
Jeremy Wood's trailer sits in the middle of 146 after getting slammed from behind. Woods' truck is visible in the background (the tire leaning against the trailer is the front driver's side tire from Mcnatt's truck).
Big Jim Harwood retrieved the stray tire...
...the Harwood Brothers recovered the truck.
