Accident Hospitalizes Local Youth, SODA, April 26, 2019 - According to sources, at approximately 7:30 am on April 26, 2019, a red pickup driven by a LISD student was approaching US-190 East from Turner Cemetery Road (off US-190 East). His pickup stalled and he couldn't stop. His pickup rolled onto 190 and was struck by an oncoming 18 wheeler. Corporal Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene. The student (male 16 years of age) sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
