350 South at Lake Area Mobile Home Park
Cars Collide, One Person Flown, EAST TEMPE, April 20, 2023 - At approximately 12 pm on April 20, 2023, the driver of a Red Honda sedan was south-bound on FM-350 South.  The driver attempted a left turn into Lake Area Mobile Home Park but failed to yield to a west-bound blue Nissan Versa.  The red Honda (driven by Dustin Charles Vaughn, 31, of Eustace) was knocked backwards onto the south-bound shoulder.  The blue Nissan (driven by Brian Lee Cunningham, 41, of Onalaska) left the pavement to the right and slid out into the lawn of the mobile home park.  Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Unit, and Trooper Cotye Lowrie with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Vaughn was in serious pain as he sustained a major leg injury.  Cunningham refused treatment.  Vaughn was transported by ambulance to Livingston Municipal Airport where a medical helicopter landed and transported him to Conroe Regional Hospital with serious injuries.  All traffic on 350 was blocked during investigation and cleanup.  Vaughn was cited for failure to yield.  Cunningham was cited for driving while license invalid.  Vaughn's vehicle was recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston.  Cunningham's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.

Special thank you:  Ken with Ken's Towing
