Driver SOMEHOW Accidentally Drives Pickup Into Creek, BLANCHARD, April 19, 2020 - At approximately 10 am Troopers Kevin Burman and Ashlee White with the Texas Highway Patrol were dispatched to FM-2457 (just south of Blue XX Road) to a creek where a 55 year old local man drove his tan GMC pickup into a creek (approximately 2 hours earlier) and fled the scene. For the record, the driver has prior DWIs. When Troopers Burman and White showed up, the man's wife was at the scene to speak for him (he was nowhere to be found). The man was south-bound on FM-2457, left the pavement to the left (just south of Blue XX Road) and proceeded through the grass for nearly a hundred yards and drove right into the creek. He fled the scene and there were no injuries. He was cited for: failure to drive in a single lane of traffic, no insurance, driving with an invalid license, and failing to report the accident. His vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing for Harwood Wrecker Service.
