Two Vehicle Accident by Corner Shell, LIVINGSTON, April 19, 2013 - Shortly before 11 am on April 19, 2013, a white 2012 Volkswagon Passat driven by Judith Wood, 67, of Riverside, was east-bound on US-190 West. Wood was slammed on her rear driver's side by a black Jeep Cherokee driven by Sherry Ward Hinds, 65, of Livingston. Hinds was attmpting to crossover from the west-bound side of 190 to FM-2457 when she failed to yield. Wood's vehicle came to rest on the left side of 190 (east-bound side) while Hinds pulled her vehicle over next to the Corner Shell on 2457. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Trooper Chad Seamans with the Texas Highway Patrol. Wood was removed from her vehicle and transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Traffic was not blocked during investigation and cleanup. According to Trooper Seamans, Sherry Hinds was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a left turn. Woods' car was recovered by a rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing and will be stored at Pollock's Body Shop in Livingston. Hinds' vehicle was driven from the scene.
Judith Wood was transported by ambulance to Livingston Memorial Hospital (the other driver, Sherry Hinds was physically okay).

Sherry Hinds' Jeep Cherokee sustained moderat front end damage from the impact.
Wood's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing.
