Rollover Accident, Alcohol Suspected, LIVINGSTON, April 18, 2009 - At approximately 11:45 pm on April 17, 2009, a maroon 2006 Chevy Malibu driven by Denise Ann Woods, 19, of Livingston, was north-bound on FM-3126 when her vehicle left the road to the left rolled through the grass and struck a culvert, went airborne and when the vehicle landed it rolled front ways over front end. The roof of the car collapsed trapping Woods inside her car. The Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene and utilized the Jaws-of-Life to gain access to woods. In the meantime, DPS Troopers Kevin Burman and David Morris were dispatched to the scene along with Polk County Sheriff's Office Sergeants Perry Alexander and Rob Thomas. All traffic on 3126 was blocked as the accident was being investigated and cleared. An ambulance from Lone Star EMS were the first medical personnel on the scene. Woods was extracted from her vehicle and loaded onto a waiting ambulance and transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with unspecified injuries. According to Trooper Burman, Woods will be issued a citation for no seat-belt and, pending toxicology reports faces charges of driving while intoxicated. Woods did have insurance. A rollback wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service recovered the vehicle and it will be stored at Harwood in Livingston. The scene was cleared and traffic fully flowing shortly before 2 am.
