Thursday Afternoon Accident in Livingston Courthouse Square, LIVINGSTON, April 18, 2008 - According to Livingston Police Officer Caran Coward, at 3:33 pm on Thursday, April 17, 2008 a silver 2005 Suzuki automobile driven by Veronica Elaine Carter, 28, of Goodrich was southbound on Washington Avenue in downtown Livingston when a white 1993 Buick Regal driven by Eryn Brook Forgy, 16, of Livingston northbound on Washington and began to turn west on West Church Street in front of the Courthouse. Forgy failed to yield right-of-way to Carter and Carter's Suzuki broad sided Forgy's Buick. Both drivers had insurance. Forgy had 1 passenger in her car (Paige Saunders of Livingston), and Carter had 1 passenger in her car (Ralph Figgs of Livingston). Forgy and Saunders appeared to be physically okay, however, Carter and Figgs were both transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital via Americare Ambulance Service. There were two Livingston Police vehicles at the scene and two Americare Ambulances. One lane of traffic was blocked as officers from L.P.D. directed traffic. There was a rollback wrecker on the scene from Ken's towing that towed Carter's vehicle. Forgy's vehicle was driven away from the scene. The scene was cleaned up and out the way in less than one hour.
