Single Vehicle Roll over Accident Driver Flees Scene, LIVINGSTON, April 13, 2008 - At approximately 9 pm on April 13, 2008, a white 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 1 tonne duely pickup was involved in a single vehicle roll over accident on 350 South less than a mile from Highway 190. Two DPS Trooper were dispatched to the scene (Glen Goodwin and Darwon Evans). The truck went off the road to the right and appeared to have struck a tree causing the truck to roll over. The driver of the truck was able to crawl out from the wrecked truck and flee the scene. Both the driver's side and passenger's side airbags deployed. Evidence at the scene suggests that this was an alcohol related accident as there were several empty beer bottles that were part of the wreckage. The bottles were consistent with unopened bottles of beer that was found in the truck. Traffic at the scene was not blocked as troopers Goodwin and Evans investigated the scene. A rollback wrecker from LakeView towing arrived and turned the truck upright and then towed the truck away. At time of press, the driver of the truck is still being sought by local law enforcement.
