Three Car Pile Up, CRYSTAL LAKES, April 10, 2012 - At around 6:10 pm on April 10, 2012, Michael Pitsky, 34, of Livingston, was east-bound on US-190 East. Pitsky was following his wife, Mary Pitsky, 30. They were hauling potted plants and were intentionally driving slow to avoid the wind damaging their fragile cargo. Michael Pitsky was slammed from behind by a tan 2001 Chevy Silverado duly driven by Kenneth Ray Taylor, 22, of Livingston. The collision knocked Michael Pitsky's white 2008 Ford F-150 into the back of his wife's brown 2008 Kia Sportage. All three vehicles came to rest on the right shoulder of 190 (east bound side). Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Sergeant William Jerry and Deputy Troy Binford (both with the Sheriff's Office) and Troopers Darwon Evans and Sergeant Nita Bowen (both with the Texas Highway Patrol). Fortunately, nobody was seriously injured in the accident, but the vehicles sustained heavy damage. Traffic was partially blocked on the east-bound side during investigation and clean up. Kenneth Ray Taylor was cited for failure to control speed. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered all three vehicles: Michael Pitsky's vehicle will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston while the other 2 will be stored at Bounds Autoplex in Livingston. The scene was cleared shortly after 7 pm.
Facing the music: 22 year old Kenneth Ray Taylor, of Livingston (left, sitting), has to get squared away with Trooper Darwon Evans.
