The car crossed the Trinity River Bridge (in the south-bound lanes) and caused the driver of a gray Chevy Traverse SUV to spin out of control to avoid a collision, then caused the driver of an 18 wheeler to lose control. The 18 wheeler swerved left and actually partially went on top of the concrete bridge railing where it came to a stop. The wrong way car continued on and got away. Fortunately there were no injuries. A State Trooper from San Jacinto County was dispatched to the scene and was assisted by Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Livingston Volunteer Fire Department. At time of press (1 am), the south-bound lanes of 59 are blocked as the precarious situation is being dealt with.
