Motorscooter Accident Claims Jasper Couple, CORRIGAN, April 8, 2013 - At approximately 4:30 pm on April 7, 2013, a motoscooter that was driven by a Jasper man with his wife as a passenger was east-bound on FM-287 East. The motorscooter (driven by Darrell Lynn Raabe, 51, of Jasper), suddenly slammed into an SUV that was driven by a Corrigan woman whose name has not yet been released. The SUV was crossing over 287 from Rayburn Drive and failed to yield to the motorscooter. Raabe and his wife, Rebecca Durham Raabe, 56, were both transported to Lufkin hospitals. Sadly, both died shortly after arrival. The driver of the SUV was not injured. The accident was investigated by Officer Roy Wade with the Corrigan Police Department.
