1 Deceased in Motorcycle Accident, BEECH CREEK, April 5, 2021 - At approximately 3:54 pm on April 5, 2021, a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Robert Woodruff, 63, of Tomball, was west-bound on US-190 East. As Woodruff was approaching the area of Beech Creek Road, traffic had stopped as vehicles in front of him were waiting to make a left turn onto Beech Creek Road. Woodruff, apparently distracted, failed to notice the stopped vehicles in front of him. At the last second he noticed the vehicles and tried to avoid a collision. Woodruff slid sideways laying the motorcycle down. At some point, Woodruff's head struck the pavement killing Woodruff on contact. Woodruff was not wearing a helmet. Troopers Colton McQuilkin, Allen Stanton, and Sergeant Sam Lattner with the Texas Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene to investigate. Justice of the Peace, Sarah Raspberry performed an inquest at the scene. Woodruff was transported from the scene by Cochran Funeral Home to the Jefferson County Medical Examiners Office. Woodruff's motorcycle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
