Single Vehicle Accident Hospitalizes Driver, LAKE LIVINGSTON VILLAGE, March 24, 2015 - Shortly before 6 pm on March 24, 2014, a black 1996 Chevy S10 pickup, driven by Rebecca Labaki, 36, of Livingston was east-bound on Brackenridge Road In Lake Livingston Village. According to the Labaki, she swerved to avoid hitting a dog. Labaki left the road to the left and went into a drainage ditch. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department, Cedric McDuffie with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Trooper Barett Duren with the Texas Highway Patrol. Rebecca Labaki sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital. No citations were issued. A rollback wrecker from Fawbush Wrecker Service recovered Labaki's vehicle and it will be stored in Goodrich.
Duren was assisted by Deputy Cedric McDuffie with the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
Labaki knocked off part of the bridge railing on Brackenridge Road.
