Crash on 2457 Hospitalizes 1, BLANCHARD, March 16, 2024 - At approximately 10:03 am on March 16, 2024, a red, 2014 Dodge pickup, driven by Vince Huebner, 60, of Livingston, was south-bound on FM-2457. Huebner had stopped due to stopped traffic in front of him when he was slammed from behind by a white 2018 Dodge Durango, driven by Jasmine Hinds, 32, of Livingston. The impact pushed Huebner's vehicle across the north-bound lane. Huebner steered his vehicle to a stop on the north-bound shoulder of 2457. Hinds' vehicle went into the ditch on the south-bound side. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputies Adrian Ontiveros and Keagan Newman with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Trooper Nick Hatton with the Texas Highway Patrol. Hinds exited her vehicle and sat in the ditch with her child passenger. Huebner and his wife were physically okay. Hinds was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Traffic was not blocked during investigation and cleanup. Hinds was cited for failure to control speed. Huebner's vehicle was recovered by Kwik Tow Wrecker out of Livingston, while Hinds' vehicle was recovered by Harwood Wrecker Service out of Livingston.
