Hummer Fails to Yield, Gets Broadsided by Large Truck, ONALASKA, March 12, 2013 - At approximately 2 pm on March 12, 2013, a large autoparts supply truck driven by Ivan Ambriz, 28, of Houston, was west-bound on US-190 West at FM-3152. Ambriz's truck broadsised a 2008 Hummer H3 driven by Kyle Richard Williams, 17, of the Woodlands. Williams pulled onto 190 in front of Ambriz's truck from FM-3152 causing the collision. Williams' vehicle came to rest on the side of the east-bound lane of traffic while Ambriz's vehicle came to rest in the road. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Police from Onalaska PD, Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Troopers Chad Seamans, Chris Cain and Allen Stanton with the Texas Highway Patrol. Williams was treated at the scene and transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Ambriz was checked at the scene but was physically okay. Traffic on 190 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. According to Trooper Seamans, Williams was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign. The truck and the Hummer were recovered by George White & Sons Wrecker Service and will be stored in Onalaska.

Ambriz took a seat in the grass and was checked out by emergency personnel. He was okay.
Both vehicles were recovered by George White & Sons Wrecker Service.
