A pickup took out a utility pole this morning in Livingston (03/05/20).
Driver Takes Out Utility Pole, Knocks Out Power, LIVINGSTON, March 5, 2020 - Shortly before 6 am on March 5, 2020, a white Chevy pickup, driven by Marcelino Sorto, 61, of Conroe, was north-bound on South Washington (Business 59). Marcelino's pickup left the pavement to the right, and struck / knocked down / broke-in-half a City of Livingston utility pole. The accident knocked out power to the south end of the city. Sergeant Darrell Newman and Officers Donald Dyson and Jason Thomas with Livingston Police Department were dispatched to the scene. No injuries were reported. Sorto was cited for unsafe speed. A crew from the City of Livingston arrived and had electricity to the south end of the city restored in about an hour.
61 year old Marcelino Sorto, of Conroe, was driving this company truck when he left the pavement and stuck a utility pole on South-Washington near Pan American Drive.
