The truck slammed directly into the driver's side door of the car.
2 Men Hospitalized in Accident in Front of Wal-Mart, LIVINGSTON, March 4, 2010 - At approximately 3:15 pm on March 4, 2010, a silver 2006 Chevy Silverado driven by Herbert Wayne Gallier, 58, of Onalaska was west-bound on US-190 in front of Wal-Mart when a gold 1997 Saturn sedan driven by Elza L. Harp, 77, of Livingston, pulled out of the parking lot at Wal-Mart and directly in front of Gallier.  Gallier's truck broadsided Harp's sedan in the driver's side door.  The vehicles came to rest the left lane of 190.  Harp was trapped inside his vehicle with the door crushed in from the impact and the vehicles locked together.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Unit.  Firemen used the jaws-of-life to free Harp from his vehicle who was then treated at the scene by EMS personnel and transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries.  Gallier was also treated and transported to Livingston Memorial with undisclosed injuries.  Officers from the Livingston Police Department were dispatched including Officer Kevin Blackburn.  Both west-bound lanes of traffic on 190 were blocked and traffic redirected during investigation and cleanup.  Both parties had insurance.  According to Officer Blackburn, Harp will be issued a citation for failure to yield right-of-way from a private drive.  A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Gallier's truck and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston, while Harp's vehicle was recovered by a rollback wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service and it will be stored at 101 Harwood Drive in Livingston.  the scene was cleared before 3 pm.
