36 year old Cynthia Puente, of Big Sandy, was driving this 2013 Honda Odyssey east on FM-1276 when she left the pavement to the right, struck a culvert and rolled her vehicle.
Alcohol Suspected in Rollover Accident, BIG SANDY, March 2, 2021 - At approximately 2:30 pm on March 2, 2021, a white 2013 Honda Odyssey, driven by Cynthia Puente, 36, of Big Sandy, was east bound on FM-1276 (next to the post office) when her vehicle left the pavement to the right, struck a culvert and rolled. Puente's vehicle came to rest upright facing her opposite direction of travel. Puente was entrapped. Livingston and Segno Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched to the scene along with Allegiance Ambulance Service and Troopers Allen Stanton, Ashlee White, Nick Hatton, and Corporal Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol. Emergency personnel were able to free Puente from her vehicle. Puente was treated at the scene and then transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital where a medical helicopter landed and transported her to Houston with undisclosed injuries. Puente admitted to drinking beer prior to the accident. Puente is likely facing multiple citations and possible charge of driving while intoxicated. Her vehicle was transported from the scene by Dan's Towing and will be stored in Livingston.
