13 Year Old Bicyclist Hit by Car, LIVINGSTON, February 24, 2010 - Just minutes before 6 pm on February 24, 2010, a blue 2008 Suzuki Forenza driven by James Price, 64, of Livingston, was north-bound on FM-350 South when a bicycle ridden by a 13 year old boy attempted to cross 350 and pulled directly in front of Price. Price slammed on his brakes and attempted to avoid the boy but a collision occurred. The child landed on the hood of the car and the bike was knocked into the grass. According to Price, the child got off the hood of the car and then collapsed in the grass. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with several Sheriff's Deputies, the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department and DPS Trooper, Brent Henry. The child was loaded onto an ambulance and transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. One lane of traffic was blocked during investigation and cleanup. Price had insurance and no citations were issued. The scene was cleared by 7 pm.
