64 year old Murray Mazetti, of Onalaska, was driving this 2007 Nissan Titan on 190 East when he is believed to have had heart failure and crashed.
Fatal Accident, Heart Failure Believed to be Cause, SODA, February 21, 2017 - At approximately 10:15 pm on February 20, 2017, a green 2007 Nissan Titan, driven by Murray Mazetti, 64, of Onalaska, was west-bound on US-190 East (about 2 miles west of FM-1276). Mazetti and his wife were returning from The Reservation Casino when Mazetti is believed to have had heart failure while driving. His vehicle left the pavement to the right and struck a tree. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Alabama Coushatta Volunteer Fire Department, Officer Brian Cavanaugh with the Alabama Coushatta Police Department and Trooper Ashlee McBride with the Texas Highway Patrol. Mazetti was unresponsive and deceased at the scene. His wife was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital as a precautionary measure. Traffic on 190 was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. Mazetti was transported from the scene by a first-call car from Cochran Funeral Home. His vehicle was recovered by a rollback wrecker from George White & Sons wrecker service and will be stored in Onalaska. The accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.

Mazetti's pickup impacted a tree.
The impact knocked the tree over.
