US-146 near Hillbilly Heaven on Wednesday (02/19/20) shortly after 12 noon.
Car Hits 18 Wheeler, Rolls, Driver Ejected, SCHWAB CITY, February 19, 2020 - At approximately 12:25 pm on February 19, 2020, a silver Honda Pilot driven by Donna Michelle Isaaks, 39, of Dayton, was north-bound on US-146 (near Hillbilly Heaven). Isaaks' vehicle drifted left, crossed the center line and struck the trailer portion of a south-bound 18 wheeler driven by Michael Timothy Schaffer, 55, of Columbia, Illinois. The 18 wheeler was hauling an enormous tracked vehicle that protruded over the edges of the trailer. The tracked vehicle tore off the driver's side of Isaaks' vehicle. Isaaks' vehicle then rolled ejecting Isaaks in the process. Her vehicle came to rest upright in the grass on the south-bound side of 146. Schaffer pulled his rig to the south-bound shoulder. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the South Polk County Volunteer Fire Department, and Troopers with the Texas Highway Patrol including Corporal Ramey Bass, Ashlee White, Nick Hatton, and David Morris. Isaaks was transported by ambulance to a landing zone and flown to Hermann Hospital in Houston with massive injuries. Schaffer was physically okay. Traffic on 146 was blocked for over two hours during investigation and cleanup. Isaaks' vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. This accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.

Corporal Ramey Bass and Trooper Ashlee White were 2 of the 4 State Troopers at the scene.
39 yeard old Donna Michelle Isaaks, of Dayton was driving this Honda Pilot north on US-146 near Hillbilly Heaven when she struck and south-bound 18 wheeler, then rolled. Isaaks was ejected during the rollover.
55 year old Michael Timothy Schaffer, of Columbia, Illinois, was driving this 18 wheeler (note: Enormous tracked vehcile Schaffer was hauling).
Part of Isaaks' vehicle crumpled and lodged in the tracked vehicle.
Isaaks was transported by ambulance to a nearby landing zone and flown to Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Isaaks' vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing.
