Head On Accident Claims Life of Livingston Man, SAN JACINTO COUNTY, February 19, 2010 - At approximately 2:45 am on February 19, 2010, a 2006 GMC truck driven by Robin Eddie Wood, 34, of Livingston was east-bound on US-190 just west of Onalaska when his vehicle veered to the left and crossed over the center stripe into oncoming traffic. Wood's vehicle slammed head-on into a 2005 Peterbilt 18 wheeler driven by Stanley Ray, 59, of Hodgenville, Kentucky. Wood's vehicle caught fire. Firemen were dispatched to the scene as well as ambulance service and DPS Trooper Bill Clark. Stanley Ray was transported to a hospital in Huntsville with internal injuries. Wood was pronounced dead at the scene. All traffic on US-190 in the vicinity of the accident was blocked for several hours. Wood was transported to Cochran Funeral Home.
