A late model Chevy sedan sits submerged in Lake Shelter Cover early Tuesday afternoon.
Reported as Stolen, Vehicle Found Submerged in Lake, SCENIC LOOP, February 13, 2013 - A vehicle that was reported as stolen out of Corrigan was found in Lake Shelter Cove early Tuesday afternoon (February 12, 2013). The vehicle (a late model Chevy sedan) was found completely submerged. Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene along with Deputies Phillip Waller and Rob Thomas (both with the Polk County Sheriff's Office) and Trooper Kevin Burman with the Texas Highway Patrol. Firemen hooked a cable to the vehicle and it was pulled out of the water by a rollback wrecker from LakeView Towing and will be stored in Livingston. The owner of the vehicle was reportedly in Cold Spring during the incident. Insurance fraud has not been ruled out. The incident remains under investigation by Trooper Kevin Burman.

A volunteer fireman takes a hook to the vehicle. The hook was connected to a rollback wrecker.
The vehicle was recovered by LakeView Towing and will be stored in Livingston.
