Vehicles Collide, 1 Driver Critical, SPRING CREEK, February 10, 2018 - At approximately 4:05 pm on February 9, 2018, a red 2009 Dodge pickup, driven by Paul Galindo, 59, of Livingston, was south-bound on FM-3126 near Yarborough Loop. Galindo's vehicle was suddenly side swiped by a north-bound red 1998 Chevy Cavalier, driven by Virgle Wayne Deforest, 29, of Livingston. Deforest's vehicle crossed the center line and did a glancing impact on Galindo's vehicle. To make matters worse, Galindo's vehicle was a duly. Deforest's front end impacted the rear (driver's side) duly wheels. Deforest's vehicle slid and came to the rest on edge of the north-bound side of 3126 while Galindo's vehicle came to rest on the edge of the south-bound side. Deforest was ejected from his vehicle and came to rest on the pavement. Americare and Allegiance Ambulance Services were dispatched to the scene along with the Scenic Loop and Livingston Volunteer Fire Departments, Deputy Terri Mayer, Adrian Ontiveros, and Corporal Mark Dubose with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Troopers Colton McQuilkin, Donny Akers, Kevin Burman, and Darwon Evans with the Texas Highway Patrol. Deforest was transported by ambulance to a nearby landing zone and was flown by helicopter to Conroe Regional Hospital in critical condition. Galindo was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. All traffic on 3126 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Deforest's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. Galindo's vehicle was recovered by a rollback wrecker from LakeView Towing and will be stored in Livingston. This accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.

29 year old Virgle Wayne Deforest, of Livingston was driving this 1998 Chevy Cavalier. Deforest crossed the center line and impacted the driver's side of a pickup.
59 year old Paul Galindo, of Livingstonl, was driving this 2009 Dodge duly pickup.
Deforest's vehicle impacted the rear duly wheels on Galindo's pickup. The impact devastated the car and ripped off the tires of the pickup.
Galindo was pulling a trailer with a tractor and was also hauling a riding lawn mower. The trailer became disconnected and careened into a barbed wire fence.
