Two Livingston Men Seriously Injured in Single Vehicle Accident, ACE, January 30, 2012 - Shortly before 10 pm on January 29, 2012, a maroon 2000 Chevy Silverado driven by Aaron Neff, 28, of Livingston, was west-bound on FM-2610. According to two different witnesses, a white sedan that was east-bound in the opposite lane suddenly swerved into Neff's lane. Neff swerved right to avoid a collision and slid through the soggy wet grass into the woodline on the north side of the pavement. The white car continued and never stopped to help. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the South Polk County Volunteer Fire Department and Corporal Sam Lattner with the Texas Highway Patrol. Aaron Neff and his passenger, Wesley Allen Moore, 28, also of Livingston both sustained incapacitating injuries and were rushed by ambulance to Livingston Memorial Hospital. Traffic was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup. The accident remains under investigation. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Neff's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. The scene was cleared shortly after 11 pm.
Corporal Sam Lattner with the Texas Highway Patrol is the investigating officer.
Barely visible at right of this picture, a tree branch crashed through the windshield.
The truck was recovered by Ken's Towing.
Faithful and True: Where you find Ken's Towing, you'll find Houdini (although he's known to run with Big Jim Harwood from time to time).
