Family Survives Harrowing Accident With 18 Wheeler, SEVEN OAKS, January 23, 2011 - Shortly before 2 pm on January 23, 2011, a gray 2009 Nissan Altima driven by Tonya Creppon, 37, of Santa Fe, was south-bound on US-59 in Seven Oaks when her rear driver's side tire blew out.  According to Creppon, the explosion of the tire caused her vehicle to swing to the right and they collided with a south-bound blue 2010 Freightliner 18 wheeler driven by Jason Allen Winkle, 29, of Zanesville, Ohio.  Creppon's vehicle bounced back to the left, rolled through the grassy median and into the north-bound lanes, and curved back to the right into the median where their vehicle came to rest.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Troopers Kevin Burman, David Flowers, Donny Akers, and Joe Cole.  Fortunately, nobody was hurt.  Tonya Creppon was traveling with her mother, 9 year old niece, 14 year old daughter, and family dog "Champ".  One lane on the north-bound side of US-59 was blocked during investigation and cleanup.  A rollback wrecker from Riley Wrecker Service recovered Creppon's vehicle and it will be stored in Corrigan.  Jason Winkle's rig sustained a flat tire and minor damage in the mishap and a crew was dispatched to repair the flat tire.  The Creppons were given a lift to the nearby rest area where family was enroute to pick them up.

Special thank you:  Ken from Ken's Towing and Stash Anderson
