This 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis was waiting to make a left turn off 146 and onto East Capps Road and was slammed from behind.
Several Hospitalized From Major Accident on 146, LIVINGSTON, January 22, 2019 - At approximately 7:02 am on January 22, 2019, a blue 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis, driven by Bernabe Gonzalez, 52, of Livingston, was south-bound on US-146. Gonzalez was waiting to make a left turn onto East Capps road when he was slammed from behind by a black 2018 Kia Soul, driven by Summer Davis, 28, of Buna. The impact knocked Gonzalez's vehicle onto E. Capps Road, while Davis' vehicle came to rest on 146. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputies Ronald Bogany and Kala Hemperly with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Troopers Donny Akers, Ashlee White, and Corporal Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol. Davis and her two small children were transported by Ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Gonzalez was also transported by ambulance to CHI. Traffic on 146 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. Davis was cited for failure to control speed and Gonzalez was cited for no driver's license. Gonzalez's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. Davis' vehicle was recovered by Fawbush Wrecker Service and will be stored in Goodrich.

The impact knocked 52 year old Bonabe Gonzalez's vehicle onto E. Capps Road.
28 year old Summer Davis, of Buna, was driving south on 146 in this 2018 Kia Soul when she slammed Gonzalez's vehicle from behind.
Trooper Donny Akers is the primary accident investigator.
Gonzalez was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital.
Gonzalez's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing.
