Truck Turns Over, Loses Load of Raw Chicken, GOODRICH, January 18, 2017 - At approximately 9:25 am on January 18, 2017, an 18 wheeler driven by Paul Lee Moyer, 49, of Henderson, was south-bound on US-59 (south of Goodrich near the Trinity River Bridge). Moyer's truck began to hydroplane. His rig left the pavement to the right and entered the soggy, muddy, median and began to slide. His rig turned sideways and then turned over. Moyer was hauling a large load of raw chicken. The trailer opened up and lost its load into the median. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Texas Department of Transportation and Troopers Allen Stanton, Nick Hatton, and Sergeant Sam Lattner with the Texas Highway Patrol. Moyer was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The left lane on the south-bound side of 59 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. No citations were issued. A heavy duty wrecker from Clifton Chevrolet out of Corrigan was summoned to clean up the mess.
